The Aqua Environment model 1607 is an economical, small, high pressure relief valve having excellent set pressure control over a large pressure range of 900 to 7500 psi. Specially designed for low temperature service (–60°F | –51°C). It opens smoothly without the load popping sound of some relief valves. It stays bubble-tight to within a few psi of set pressure and reseats bubble-tight even after many vent cycles. Safety wire holes are provided for optional locking of set pressure adjustment.
This is a special order item and may take 1-2 weeks for delivery. Contact the Nuvair sales team for estimated lead times.
A Pressure Relief Valve (also known as a Safety Valve, Overpressure Relief Valve, or simply a Relief Valve) limits the amount of pressure in a compressed gas system. Without such a valve in place, pressure could build up beyond what the system is designed for and cause equipment failure. The Pressure Relief Valve opens at a designed “set pressure” to protect the system against failure from being overpressurized.

¹Although the 504 is rated for pressures up to 6000 psi, the manufacturer recommends the 1607 relief valve for customers wishing to use a set pressure above 5000 psi. The 504 and 1607 valves have the same form factor but a 1607 design modification allows for a higher set pressure without pushing the spring to its limits.
