Select from 30-240 gallon capacity (114-908 liters) low pressure volume tanks. Volume tanks are designed to your specific requirements and are available with a frame or frameless and with or without breathing air filtration. Our vertical volume tanks have the same design standards as our horizontal models. Vertical volume tanks are often used to eliminate the large footprint of horizontal volume tanks.
Vertical low pressure volume tanks work together with low pressure compressors. Available in a variety of custom configurations, including:
As a rule of thumb, a minimum of 1-gallon storage (3.8 L) per cubic foot per minute (CFM) compressor output (28.3 L/min). For example, the Champion R15 continuous-duty pump (SKU LP-R15) producing 23 CFM @ 175 psi (651 L/min @ 12 bar) would require a 30 gal (114 L) volume tank. Larger volume tanks will allow for more unload time and less compressor cycling. Larger volume tanks also allow more moisture to drop out of the air before filtration.
Working pressure for low pressure volume tanks is 140 psi (9.7 bar). Most ASME-rated volume tanks are rated at 200 psi (13.8 bar). Volume tanks with working pressures of 250 psi (17.2 bar) and 300 psi (20.7 bar) are available on special order.
Most designs are stocked for immediate shipment. Please allow additional time for breathing air filtration system installation.
