With over 200 years of engineering excellence, the CompAir brand offers an extensive range of highly reliable, energy efficient compressors and accessories to suit all applications.
Known for their rugged line of rotary screw compressors, CompAir originally offered a wide range of compressors, powered by 2.5 hp to 335 hp (2–250 kW) motors delivering 8.5 to 1660 CFM at 73–190 psi (0.24–47.02 m³/min @ 5–13 bar).
CompAir is now part of Gardner Denver, a worldwide provider of air compression and vacuum products. Depending on your region of the world and the size of compressor required for your application, some CompAir compressors are now available under the Champion® brand, a Gardner Denver subsidiary.
Below is a brief explanation on how some CompAir compressors—all with 40 hp (30 kW) and smaller motors—have been rebranded under the Champion name. Contact Nuvair for any of your Champion or CompAir compressor needs.
The CompAir L-Series (up to 40 hp/30 kW) of fixed speed lubricated rotary screw compressors are now marketed as Champion L-Series models L04–L29 delivering up to 147.4 ACFM at 190 psi (4.18 m³/min at 13 bar).
The CompAir LRS Series (up to 40 hp/30 kW) of variable speed lubricated rotary screw compressors are now marketed as Champion LRS-Series models L07RS–L29RS delivering up to 134.9 ACFM at 190 psi (3.82 m³/min at 13 bar).
The CompAir AirStation is now available as the Champion L-Series and LRS-Series AirStation™. The plug-and-play Champion AirStation™ configuration is an L- or LRS-Series compressor (up to 40 hp/30 kW) mounted on a horizontal receiver tank with or without a refrigerated air dryer. Featuring standard high-end and optional components such as a three-way bypass valve, stainless steel piping, integrated forklift slots and an automatic tank drain, the L- and LRS-Series AirStation™ are the ideal solution for a compressed air system that requires minimal installation time and cost.
Champion® has over a century of experience in design and manufacturing of the highest quality compressors. The L-Series rotary screw system is another example of the company's progressive innovation.
Equipped with standard TEFC main motors, wye-delta starters, Pilot™ or Governor™ microprocessor controllers and quiet enclosures, an L-Series unit from Champion is the optimal solution when a feature-rich, simple-to-operate compressor is required.
L-Series compressors are available in AirStation™ or Base Mount configurations. The plug-and-play AirStation™ is an L-Series L04–L22 compressor mounted on a horizontal receiver tank with or without a refrigerated air dryer. Featuring standard high-end and optional components such as a three-way bypass valve, stainless steel piping, integrated forklift slots and an automatic tank drain, the L-Series AirStation™ is the ideal solution for a compressed air system that requires minimal installation time and cost.
LRS-Series compressors from Champion® feature more than just the latest compressor technology. They contain the cleanest, simplest, most intuitive machine layouts on the market. Equipped with standard TEFC main motors, robust and high performing Eaton inverter drives, Governor™ microprocessor controllers and quiet enclosures, an LRS-Series unit from Champion is the optimal solution when a feature-rich, simple-to-operate compressor is required.
Variable speed compressors from Champion can efficiently and reliably handle the varying air demand. The right variable speed compressor in the right application delivers significant energy savings and a stable air supply at constant pressure. Using a variable speed compressor can easily save 25% energy by using just the right amount of energy required to do the job and no more.
LRS-Series compressors are available in base mount or AirStation™ configurations. The plug-and-play AirStation™ configuration is an LRS-Series compressor mounted on a horizontal receiver tank with or without a refrigerated air dryer. Featuring standard high-end and optional components such as a three-way bypass valve, stainless steel piping, integrated fork lift slots and an automatic tank drain, the LRS-Series AirStation™ is the ideal solution for a compressed air system that requires minimal installation time and cost.
