Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricants are often chosen for their extreme temperature capabilities (-90°C to +250°C), excellent compatibility with virtually all materials (including plastics and elastomers), or their inertness: PFPEs do not react with oxygen, other gasses, chemicals, solvents, or automotive fluids.
