Temperature Switches

A temperature switch opens or closes an electrical circuit depending on the switch set point and whether the temperature is rising or falling. Temperature switches typically have a temperature set point and a set point direction. For instance, a temperature switch can have a rising set point of 240°F. When system temperature (air or fluid) increases to 240°F, the temperature switch opens or closes a circuit to control connected equipment.
