Female pipe cross fittings made of steel. Since pipe threads crush to create a seal, they should be limited to one use only, unless the application is low pressure. To prevent system contamination avoid placing sealant on first two threads. Teflon® tape should be wrapped around the threads a maximum of two times and should NOT be used with anaerobic pipe sealant.
